Day 1: Monkey Islands

Arrival to Puerto Maldonado, briefly visit to the city and transfer to the port where we board and begin an unforgettable journey down the Madre de Dios River. Along the way, you can see the alligators, turtles, herons and other animals. Arrival at Eco Amazonia Lodge, enjoying an exquisite typical welcome drink and we settle in our bungalows, then lunch. In company with our specialized guide we will visit Monkey Island.Located just 5 minutes from the Lodge, in the middle of the Madre de Dios River, Monkey Island shelters different species of monkeys, spider monkeys from the bustling, happy and imposing achuñis friars to small lions. During the trip to the island, beautiful landscapes are displayed to their sight with the exuberant flora and fauna they contain. Well as a wonderful and solemn sunset in the jungle.
